01What this covers
The law meets families at their hardest moments. The work should not add to them.

Succession is the firm's most common family instruction: obtaining grants of representation, administering estates and resolving the disputes that arise when a will is contested or there is none. Alongside it sit matrimonial-property claims, maintenance and custody matters, each handled with the discretion they require.

  • Grants of probate and letters of administration
  • Administration and distribution of estates, including confirmation of grant
  • Contested succession: objections, citations and revocation of grants
  • Wills, and advice on estate planning
  • Division of matrimonial property on separation or divorce
  • Maintenance and custody applications
02How the firm works

From instruction to result.

01

Instruction & assessment

We establish who the beneficiaries are, what the estate holds and whether a will exists, then set out the route to a grant and the likely timeline.

02

Petition & gazettement

The petition is filed with the required consents and affidavits, gazetted, and taken through to the grant and its confirmation.

03

Distribution or dispute

An uncontested estate is distributed and closed. A contested one is argued, with a view to a result the family can live with.
